A while back I read something on instagram about motivation and discipline that really resonated with me. The post was about how your motivation may come and go, but it is your discipline that will get you through it. This really hit me hard because I often find myself constantly looking around for motivation. I always seem to think if I can just find the motivation, I will be able to lose weight and reach my goals. As if, somehow, the motivation is enough. But what if motivation isn’t enough?
So that got me thinking about discipline. What is discipline and how do you get it? I searched on google and found this extremely helpful guide to develop self-discipline. It basically explains steps that you can take to develop self-discipline. One of the steps that I found very helpful was to first figure out your why. I feel like this is very important when changing your lifestyle because it is part of your motivation, and what helps you stay focused.
